Many of us go through life with little wish lists in our heads. There are so many adventures to embark on, races to run, restaurants to try, and recipes to bake. I’m a firm believer that the best way to get things done is to make a list, and check it off. I’m also a believer that they best way to achieve your goals (no matter how big or small) is to tell people. They will hold you accountable, support you when you struggle, and high five you when you cross the finish line. I’m a curious person, and there is a lot in this world that I want to accomplish so that is why I am creating my own 101 in 1001 list. It took me a couple of days and some serious thought, but I came up with a list of 101 things I want to do in the next 1001 days. By October 5, 2013, I will have hopefully checked everything off my list. 🙂
I got the idea from Julie at Savvy Eats who I think got the idea from Heather. Heather started hers in March of 2010, and Julie started hers earlier this week. I’m excited to embark on this journey! I told Kath about it last night, and she was excited too. I think there a some items on this list that the Vogel family will be completing together.
My entire list is here. I plan on blogging my way through all 101. Not all of them are crazy big goals either. However, completing a triathlon is a crazy big goal for me. I want to have a picnic lunch, go hiking at Rock Cut in Illinois, and have an Office marathon with the Abster. The hardest thing on my list will probably be going vegan for 30 days. Give up butter AND cheese? Quelle horreur! Hm..is it quelle or quel? Maybe I should add 102 – brush up on my grammaire française?
