It feels good to be back in Madison. I feel like I’ve rejoined society when I drive onto the Isthmus. My grocery stores, my big girl bed and down comforter, yoga studios a plenty, and restaurants I love. Oh yeah and my friends! 🙂 Last night, I went to dinner with my good friend Meredith. We worked together at NY and Co, and stayed in touch after I left. We celebrated her new job last night at Bonfyre. I had the salmon burger with zucchini and squash.
The sandwich had a bit too much lettuce, but that was easily fixed. After lots of catching up and filling our bellies, Mere and I parted ways. I headed to the gym because I promised myself I would do 30 minutes of cardio. It actually worked out well because I was able to watch The Soup and get a workout in. Two birds. One stone.
What’s this? The best damn scone I have ever had. Yes, better than the ones I ate in the UK. It kind of puts the scones in Ireland to shame too. I wanted to try one of each scone in the bakery case. Hi, can I have the scone sampler please? I enjoyed this lovely breakfast with Holly from The Healthy Everythingtarian. Yay for meeting blends in real life!
I don’t know why it took me so long to try Lazy Janes. I feel like I never really lived before experiencing this place. I am going back next weekend, and you can’t stop me!
I picked up a raspberry scone for the Abster. She has worked at 6am almost every day this week so she definitely needs a delicious scone when she gets home from work today! After breakfast, Holly and I went to the free yoga class at Lululemon. I really liked the teacher. She made me laugh multiple times. Plus, Jesus called not once, but twice. He also loves lengthening his spine in upward dog…or so the teacher said. She seemed trustworthy.
Guess what I have planned for this afternoon? But first, NAP TIME! I’m also instituting a new rule for weekends…yoga pants and hoodies only. I’m too comfy to even think about putting real pants on.
