Monday night was sisters night. Abby and I headed up to Milwaukee to watch our favorite teams play.
Our sibling rivalry spills over into baseball
We decided to do dinner at Stack’d before the game. Neither of us had been before, but I’d heard good things. Very good things.
Eastside Dark is one of my favorite beers. Sitting in Milwaukee, drinking my favorite Milwaukee beer, had me thinking…it’s been too long since I’ve been on a Lakefront tour! The last time I went to Lakefront was January. Unacceptable.
You know I can’t say no to fried pickles. I think about fried pickles at least once a week. Nowhere in Beloit has fried pickles. It kills me! Stack’d serves their fried pickles with sriracha ranch. You better believe I plan on making some. Why didn’t I think of that sooner?
Abby and I both ordered the Black Stack – housemade black bean burger, cheddar, avocado, pico de gallo, and lettuce on a pretzel roll. Oh, and sweet potato fries with the sriracha ranch is fantastic.
Their mac n cheese was pretty delicious too. Abby was nice enough to let me steal a few bites. It had smoked gouda and blue cheese. I wouldn’t mind a whole bowl of it!
Stack’d shake of the month was a salted caramel shake with chai infused bourbon. I had been looking forward to it all day.
And then the waitress informed me that they were out of it. What. the. hell.
I was pretty sad.
Southern Tier Pumpking for dessert! Just might be the best pumpkin beer I’ve ever had.
We purchased tickets through a Groupon deal a few weeks ago. This is the third year in a row that we’ve gone to a Brewers-Cubs game at Miller Park. Last night the Brewers won!! Although we didn’t get to stay for the whole game…
Turns out I have a wicked cold, not just the sniffles. I even brought my own box of tissues into the stadium. I might not have seen all nine innings, but I did see Lucroy’s two home runs!!
